Nagpur: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Friday hailed workers for their contribution to India’s development and noted that everything, from mega infrastructure projects to large irrigation ventures, has been built not just by machines, but also by mazdoors.
This country has been built with the blood and sweat of lakhs of workers, he said, while speaking at an event in Nagpur organised on the occasion of International Labour Day.
“Our workers have made a huge contribution to the development of the country. Everything, be it roads, buildings, irrigation facilities or infrastructure projects, has been built not just by machines, but also by mazdoors,” the minister emphasised.
