BRS decimation after June 5 is certain, says Komatireddy

Hyderabad: On Thursday, May 23, Telangana Minister for Roads and Buildings, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, predicted the end of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chapter after June 5. He forecasted a decisive defeat for BRS in the Lok Sabha elections, comparing their imminent downfall to the collapse of the Medigadda barrage.

Venkat Reddy also warned BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao against using derogatory language towards Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, highlighting that Revanth Reddy rose to leadership by winning his first election as an independent, unlike K.T. Rama Rao, who entered politics due to his father, K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

The Congress leader accused the KCR family of looting Telangana’s wealth and relocating to Delhi, referencing the arrest of BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, K. Kavitha, in the Delhi excise policy scam. He noted that an 8,000-page charge sheet was filed against Kavitha, questioning whether such a detailed document could exist without substantial corruption allegations.

Venkat Reddy criticized the previous BRS government for leaving the state treasury empty for the incoming Congress government. He asserted that the Congress administration is fulfilling its election promises according to priority, citing the Rs. 1,500 crore compensation paid to farmers for crop damages caused by unseasonal rains and hailstorms.

He further alleged that BRS offices were built in districts without proper municipal permissions. Venkat Reddy pointed out that, contrary to regulations limiting government hospital buildings to 14 floors, the hospital in LB Nagar was constructed without the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC).

He also reminded the public that they had urged the previous government to adopt the song “Jaya Jaya He Telangana” by Ande Sri as the state anthem, a request that was ignored. Additionally, he mentioned that the BRS government had neglected the demand to name an auditorium after Telangana poet Kaloji Narayan Rao.
