Hyderabad: Well-known medical practitioner Dr AV Manohar Rao passed away in the early hours of Tuesday. He was known for his affordable, compassionate, and trustworthy medical services and enjoyed the confidence of his patients throughout his long career.
Dr Manohar Rao is survived by his wife and children. Family sources said the final rites would be performed after his children, who are residing overseas, arrive in Hyderabad.
Dr Manohar Rao was one of the younger brothers of renowned doctor-turned-innovator Dr AP Rangarao, who played a pioneering role in the development of emergency medical services such as 108 and 104, besides advancing telemedicine in India.
Known for his humane approach to medicine, Dr Manohar Rao remained committed to providing accessible and affordable treatment. His patients held him in high regard for his reassuring manner, professional integrity, and dedication to their well-being.
