Microsoft Chief Commits Full Support to Telangana CM

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Special Chief Secretary for IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan, and Special Secretary to the CM Ajith Reddy, met with Microsoft Corporation President Satya Nadella in Hyderabad.

Microsoft, an early entrant into Hyderabad’s tech ecosystem, has grown its local workforce to 10,000 and invested in a 600 MW data center capacity in the state. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for Microsoft’s consistent investments and contributions to the state’s growth.

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy and the IT Minister discussed key technology initiatives, including artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, and cloud computing. They sought Microsoft’s support in building a robust tech ecosystem to position Hyderabad as a global technology leader.

The Chief Minister also shared plans for infrastructure development, such as the Regional Ring Road, radial roads, Future City, and new manufacturing clusters. He emphasized efforts to develop industry-ready talent through institutions like the Young India Skills University.

Satya Nadella reaffirmed Microsoft’s commitment to supporting Telangana’s initiatives. He praised the Chief Minister’s focus on skill enhancement and infrastructure development, noting these as crucial factors for Hyderabad’s ascent into the Top 50 cities worldwide for economic growth.
