Hyderabad: Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF), Masab Tank, Hyderabad, received a significant boost to its efforts in promoting sports among underprivileged children after NTPC extended support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

NTPC, a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India, provided an Electric Rickshaw to SCF through its Southern Region Headquarters to strengthen the organisation’s community outreach and operational activities.

At a programme held on June 18, NTPC Executive Director (HR) Shri S.N. Panigrahi lauded SCF’s consistent efforts in promoting sports culture over the past 35 years. He also praised the contribution of SCF Founding Secretary Shri Sai Baba, a former banker, for his selfless service and dedication towards empowering children from economically weaker sections of society through sports.

Shri Panigrahi said the Electric Rickshaw would play an important role in supporting SCF’s activities and would directly and indirectly benefit children studying in government schools under its flagship initiative, ‘Build India Through Sports’.

He expressed confidence that the support would further strengthen SCF’s mission of using sports as a tool for social transformation and inclusive development.

The event was attended by NTPC officials, including Additional General Manager (HR) Shri Akhil Pattnaik and Senior Manager Ms. Priyanka Bhuyan.

Expressing gratitude, Shri Sai Baba thanked NTPC for its valuable support and encouragement. He said the gesture would significantly aid SCF’s efforts to nurture sporting talent among underprivileged children and expand its social outreach programmes.

Sports Coaching Foundation has been working for over three decades to promote sports and provide opportunities to children from disadvantaged backgrounds, using sports as a platform for education, empowerment and holistic development.
