Hare Krishna Golden Temple Celebrates 6th Brahmotsavam

Hyderabad: The Hare Krishna Golden Temple, here, is set to host its grand 6th Brahmotsavam from November 24 to 29, blending tradition, devotion, and vibrant festivities. Inaugurated in 2018, the temple is home to the ancient Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, Utsava Murthis of Sri Sri Radha Govinda, and other revered deities, attracting devotees from across the region.

Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhu, President of the Hare Krishna Movement, released the festival poster, emphasizing the temple’s rich traditions. “This Brahmotsavam is rooted in the ancient practice initiated by Lord Brahma to honor the Supreme Lord Narayana,” he said. The six-day festival includes elaborate rituals, spiritual ceremonies, and the auspicious Sri Sri Radha Govinda Mula Vigraha Prathishta Mahotsavam, marking the installation of the primary deities.

Daily Festivities Overview

  • Nov 24th (Sunday): The festival begins with Moolavar Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Abhishekam, Vishwaksena Puja, and Ankurarpana.
  • Nov 25th (Monday): Dhwaja Arohana, Agni Pratishtha, and Unjala Seva will be accompanied by traditional Vedic chants.
  • Nov 26th (Tuesday): A grand Hanumad Vahana Seva and Pallaki Utsavam will light up the temple and its surroundings.
  • Nov 27th (Wednesday): Devotees can witness the divine Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam.
  • Nov 28th (Thursday): Garuda Vahana Seva will take center stage.
  • Nov 29th (Friday): The final day features Maha Purnahuti, Chakra Snanam, and the spectacular 108 Kalasha Maha Churna Abhishekam, concluding with Maha Samprokshana.

This year’s highlight is the installation of Sri Sri Radha Govinda Mula Vigraha, accompanied by Vedic rituals such as Ankurarpana, Maha Kumbha Prokshana, and a grand Chappan Bhog offering. The deities will be adorned with intricate floral decorations, Nava Vastras, and unique jewelry, offering a mesmerizing Vishesha Alankara Darshanam.
