“Better Late Than Never”: NV Subash Welcomes Congress Acknowledgment of PV Narasimha Rao

Hyderabad: NV Subash, the official spokesperson of the BJP’s Telangana unit and grandson of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, has welcomed the Congress party’s reported decision to include three photographs of PV Narasimha Rao in its newly inaugurated party office, Indira Gandhi Bhavan.

Commenting on the move, Subash stated, “Better late than never for the dynastic Congress party.” He based his remarks on a report in the Hindustan Times, which highlighted the historical neglect PV Narasimha Rao faced despite being a former Congress president and the Prime Minister who successfully led a minority government through a full five-year term.

Subash lauded the media acknowledgment of PV Narasimha Rao as the true architect of India’s economic reforms, a recognition long overdue. He remarked that the Congress narrative has often attributed this achievement solely to Dr. Manmohan Singh, overlooking the leadership and vision of PV Narasimha Rao.

He expressed hope that this newfound recognition marks a shift in the Congress party’s approach and serves as a step toward acknowledging leaders who have been marginalized by internal politics. Subash emphasized the importance of honoring Rao’s contributions to India’s progress, which remain significant and unparalleled.
