Hyderabad: The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday reaffirmed India’s unwavering resolve under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in responding firmly to Pakistan’s repeated ceasefire violations, even after a temporary truce was agreed upon with the intervention of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Addressing the media, BJP State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge N.V. Subash said, “It was Pakistan that approached the United States, pleading for a ceasefire. India, acting in good faith and demonstrating strategic maturity, agreed to this arrangement. However, Pakistan has once again betrayed this goodwill by violating the ceasefire even as their Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, addressed the nation in a so-called Thanksgiving broadcast.”
Subash emphasized that Pakistan’s actions are not isolated incidents. “Despite public posturing, Pakistan continues to target Indian territory using drones, missiles, and artillery, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. These acts of aggression are a direct breach of the ceasefire and an insult to diplomatic norms. The Indian Army has already confirmed these violations and made it clear in a late-night press briefing that our forces retain the right to respond decisively,” he said.
Highlighting India’s calibrated military response, Subash noted that Indian forces had already neutralized several terror launchpads and camps run by groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which were responsible for heinous attacks on Indian soil. “The myth of Pakistan’s strategic depth has been demolished. If their civil administration is weak and their military establishment is divided, India cannot be held responsible for the consequences of their internal chaos,” he added.
Calling Pakistan a “failed state,” Subash said it is both ironic and alarming that while Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) from both sides may meet for peace talks, Pakistan’s armed forces continue to violate the ceasefire and provoke Indian retaliation.
“The BJP would like to remind the nation that today, all political parties, regardless of ideology, stand behind Prime Minister Modi and the Indian armed forces in defending the country’s sovereignty,” Subash said. “The NDA government has empowered the armed forces with a free hand to respond as necessary. Any act of terror, or breach of ceasefire, is now treated as an attack on India’s sovereignty, and will invite a befitting response.”
The BJP reiterated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India remains resolute, confident, and prepared to defend its territorial integrity with full public support.
