Rijiju is right: Where is the persecution of minorities, if not mere propaganda? – Telangana BJP

Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP has strongly endorsed Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kirren Rijiju’s categorical rejection of the Opposition’s allegations that minorities are being persecuted in various parts of the country.
State BJP Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge N.V. Subash said the narrative being propagated by the Congress and its allies is nothing but a politically motivated campaign aimed at maligning India’s image before the international community.

“Where is the persecution of minorities? Who is persecuting whom? These allegations are completely baseless and part of a deliberate propaganda exercise by the Opposition. Union Minister Kirren Rijiju was absolutely right in exposing and rejecting this false narrative. Such claims are intended not only to defame the country but also to undermine India’s growing economic strength and global standing,” Subash said.
He observed that after suffering repeated electoral setbacks, several Opposition parties have become increasingly desperate and are resorting to divisive narratives to remain politically relevant.

“The Congress and its fragmented INDIA bloc partners have consistently pursued appeasement politics and are now attempting to create fear among minority communities for electoral gains. Having failed to win the confidence of the people through governance and development, they are trying to survive on misinformation and manufactured grievances,” he remarked.

Referring to West Bengal, Subash questioned the selective outrage of those now speaking about minority persecution.

“For years, incidents of political violence before and after elections have been reported in West Bengal. Observations made by courts, including the Calcutta High Court, have highlighted concerns over law and order and violence during elections. Where were these self-appointed guardians of minority rights then? Why did they remain silent when innocent citizens were subjected to violence and intimidation?” he asked.
Subash asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA government has pursued a policy of inclusive development without discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, or region.

“Every welfare scheme of the Central Government is designed to benefit all eligible citizens. The vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas is not merely a slogan but a governance model that has ensured equal opportunities and benefits to every section of society, including minorities,” he said.

The BJP leader further stated that minority communities across the country continue to live and prosper in harmony alongside people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Appealing to citizens not to fall prey to misinformation, Subash said, “We urge our minority brothers and sisters not to be misled by politically motivated propaganda. India is a vibrant democracy governed by the Constitution, where every citizen enjoys equal rights and legal protection. If anyone faces any threat or discrimination, the law enforcement agencies and judicial institutions are fully empowered to provide justice.”
“We appeal to all citizens, irrespective of religion, to reject divisive narratives and strengthen the spirit of unity, harmony and national progress.

Every Indian is equal before the law, and together we must work towards building a stronger and more prosperous nation,” he concluded.
