Hyderabad: The Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills will host grand celebrations on May 11 to mark Sri Narasimha Jayanthi, commemorating the divine appearance of Lord Narasimha, the half-man, half-lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
The temple, home to the ancient self-manifested deity Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, has been a site of worship since the 8th century CE.
Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President of Hare Krishna Movement – Hyderabad, said all arrangements are in place for the event at Telangana’s first Golden Temple.
Festival highlights include:

Special darshan and Vishesha Alankara of the deity as Yoga Narasimha

Jhulan Seva (swing service) open to all visitors

Maha Abhishekam in the morning and a grand 108 Kalasha Abhishekam in the evening

ABHAYAM – a guided chanting session for children and parents at 9 AM to promote fearlessness through sacred mantras
The celebrations are expected to draw thousands of devotees from across the city.
