Nagpur: Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said that more development took place in the country in the last 12 years of the Narendra Modi government than that achieved in the previous six decades.

The country has moved forward in agriculture, industry, health, science, technology, infrastructure, women’s empowerment, youth empowerment, and in every other cultural, social, and economic sector, he said.

The national highway network has expanded significantly, with the country building the second-largest road network in the world.

High-speed connectivity via the Vande Bharat Trains and a massive expansion of metro networks across multiple cities.

India has embraced a digital transformation through initiatives like Digital India, boosting digital payments and fostering a massive startup ecosystem.

India’s global footprint has strengthened, with major strides in green energy and becoming one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world.
