Hyderabad: India pacer Mohammed Siraj will lead Hyderabad in the opening two matches of the 2026–27 Ranji Trophy season, with CV Milind named his deputy, as the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) announced its senior squad on Saturday.
Hyderabad will face Tripura and Andhra in its first two assignments of the new domestic season. The squad combines established domestic names with several young players, while the appointment of Siraj as captain adds considerable experience to the side.
Siraj’s leadership will be closely watched as Hyderabad begins its campaign, with the experienced fast bowler expected to spearhead the attack as well as guide a relatively young group through the early part of the season.
The 15-member squad includes Tanmay Agarwal, M Abhirath Reddy, G Rahul Singh, K Himateja, wicketkeepers Rahul Radesh and M Sai Pragnay Reddy, A Varun Goud, Tanay Thyagarajan, G Aniketh Reddy, CTL Rakshann Readdi, Ajay Dev Goud, Mende Ruthik Yadav and P Sai Vikas Reddy.

The HCA has simultaneously named its CK Naidu Trophy squad for the first two matches of the season, against Railways and Uttarakhand.
P Aman Rao will captain the junior side, with Aaron George Varghese as vice-captain. A Avanish Rao and Sunkari Dheeraj are the two wicketkeeping options in the squad.

The selection of the two squads marks the formal beginning of Hyderabad’s preparations for the new domestic season. With Siraj at the helm of the senior side and a young group entrusted with the CK Naidu campaign, the HCA will hope for a positive start in both competitions.
