NTPC SRHQ signs MOA with Osmania General Hospital

Hyderabad: The city-based National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) on Thursday signed an MOA(Memorandum of Agreement) with the Hospital Development Society, Osmania General Hospital under CSR to support procurement of Medical Equipment” for Osmania General Hospital. The initial installation and commissioning of the project will be six months while the annual monitoring of the project including the equipment will be for one year.

The specialized medical equipment will be used for the Urology department which specializes in Kidney Transplantation Surgery. The primary objective behind the project is to provide preventive, curative, and behavioral levels of treatment and to facilitate referral services to the needy to provide specialized treatment at tertiary healthcare institutions. The Hospital has approached NTPC to serve poor and needy patients.

Sabyasachi Padhi, DGM-HR, SRHQ signed on behalf of NTPC Ltd and B.Nagendar, Superintendent and Convenor, Hospital Development Society signed on behalf of Osmania General Hospital. Shri Debashish Chattopadhyay, RED(South & WR-1), Shri SN Panigrahi, GM-HR, SRHQ, and Badruddin Ansari, DGM-HR was also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Debashish Chattopadhyay stated that NTPC believes in growth with a human face and pursuing people-centred development. While comprehensive Community Development initiative in the areas of primary education, community health, drinking water, sanitation, women empowerment, skill development, community infrastructure, etc. is taken up by NTPC in the neighborhood of its plants/projects and at a national level, with focus on Health and Nutrition. This MOA with Osmania General Hospital will help in providing accessible quality healthcare to the needy people,
