New Delhi: “The Scandal” star Son Ye-jin says she would love to visit India and get a good Ayurveda massage, while her co-stars, Ji Chang-wook and Nana, hope fans in the country enjoy their new drama, a twisted tale of love and desire set in the past.
Ye-jin’s romantic shows “Something in the Rain” and “Crash Landing on You” have made her popular beyond Korea, where she has been a reigning queen of K-dramas and movies since 2003.
“It’s exhilarating for me to know that there are Indians out there who love our shows. I would really love to visit India because I heard that the Ayurveda oil massage is really famous there. And I’d love to get some. I heard it’s very therapeutic and it’s very healing for the soul. So I definitely want to go there for those massages,” Ye-jin, who plays Lady Cho in “The Scandal”, told PTI in an interview.
The Scandal marks Son Ye Jin and Ji Chang Wook’s first on-screen collaboration in a K-drama, and also stars Nana. The smutty period romance drama revolves around the dangerous love wager between an exceptional woman whose skills far exceed the burdening confines of society and her admirer, Joseon’s greatest playboy. The former gives the latter an impossible task: seduce an innocent widow who has lived a life of chastity so far. If he wins, the prize is the former.
