New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the women’s cricket team for winning the eighth Women’s Asia Cup title, convincingly defeating Sri Lanka in the final held in the UAE.
In a message posted on ‘X’, he said, “India sets another milestone in Asian cricket. Heartiest congratulations to our champions on clinching the 8th Women’s Asia Cup title. You have thrilled the nation with your undisputed dominance throughout the tournament and paved the path of inspiration for millions.”
Indian women’s cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs in the final on Sunday to lift the trophy.
