Gorakhpur: BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and asserted that BJP national president Nitin Nabin’s proposed visit to Gorakhpur would sound the bugle for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Kishan challenged Gandhi to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, saying, “If you want to defeat Modi ji, fight elections and defeat him in a democracy.”
Targeting Gandhi over his recent programme at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, the Gorakhpur MP said, “Rahul ji’s relaunch at Ramlila Maidan has flopped.”
Ravi Kishan said, “Wherever Congress and Rahul Gandhi win elections, there is no tampering with EVMs or vote theft, but wherever they lose, they begin raising questions over these issues.”
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had won the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, 2019 and 2024. In such a situation, those raising questions about SIR should first explain where this issue was in the earlier elections.
Challenging Rahul Gandhi, he said that if he wanted to defeat Modi, he should contest the 2029 election and show that he could do so. There was no point in talking about a coup or regime change.
Accuses Congress of working with foreign funding
Ravi Kishan accused Congress of making anti-national statements and working with foreign funding. He said the people of the country knew everything and would not be misled by anyone.
Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, he said that Rahul Gandhi should contest the election and defeat Modi, asking what darkness he had been kept in. He said such politics should not be pursued.
Yogi government will return to power in 2027
Ravi Kishan said Akhilesh Yadav’s political career was over during the latter’s tour of Purvanchal. He said Yogi Adityanath’s government was set to return to power in 2027.
He claimed that the opposition would forfeit its deposits in the next Assembly election and that the 2017 record would be broken. Ravi Kishan described the BJP’s ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ foot march as historic.
He said more than 50,000 workers would take part in it. The national president is visiting Gorakhpur for the first time. Elaborate preparations have been made for his welcome.
He said Amit Shah had enthused party workers in Lucknow. Now, the national president is coming to boost the morale of workers in Purvanchal. This foot march will serve as the opening salvo ahead of the 2027 election. The entire country will be watching it.
‘Parties destroying the country will be wiped out’
Ravi Kishan said those who support the BJP and Sanatan deserve praise. He alleged that some parties wanted to spread terrorism and riots in the country.
Parties that are ruining the country will be destroyed. With this resolve, the BJP will take out a march.
