Hyderabad: Google has announced a strategic collaboration with the Government of Telangana to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for transformative growth across the state. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to revolutionize agriculture, mobility, education, sustainability, and governance while bridging the digital divide and preparing the workforce for an AI-driven future.
The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, IT Minister Sridhar Babu, and Google representatives. Under this collaboration, Google will develop AI-driven agricultural solutions to support farmers, improve public mobility through enhanced transit data integration, and promote AI skilling programs. Initiatives also include strengthening digital learning through Google for Education, launching an Open Agriculture Network to connect farmers with essential resources, and expanding open data access via Google’s Data Commons platform. Additionally, the partnership aims to accelerate solar energy adoption with Google’s Solar API and boost the state’s startup ecosystem through accelerator programs.
Hailing the collaboration, CM Revanth Reddy stated, “This partnership with Google aligns with our vision for an AI-powered Telangana. By integrating advanced AI solutions, we aim to drive innovation, enhance public services, and propel economic progress.”
