Hyderabad: A helicopter en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad met with a tragic accident near Paud in Pune, crashing amid heavy rainfall. The chopper, which was carrying four individuals, including the captain, went down in the treacherous weather conditions.
Local police confirmed that while the captain sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital, the other three passengers are reported to be in stable condition. The helicopter, operated by Global Vectra, crashed for reasons that are still under investigation, according to an official statement quoted by PTI.
This incident occurred just as Mumbai experienced its first showers after days of intense heat, with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting continued rainfall in the coming days.
