Tirumala: The Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), J Shyamala Rao, announced on Saturday that comprehensive preparations are in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the annual Srivari Brahmotsavam, scheduled from October 4 to 12.
Addressing the media at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala, Shyamala Rao detailed the schedule for the Vahana Sevas. Morning Vahana Sevas will occur between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, while the evening Sevas will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the exception of the Garuda Vahana Seva, which will begin at 6:30 PM.
On October 4, in the evening, the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N Chandrababu Naidu, will present the official pattu vastrams to Srivaru on behalf of the state government and will also participate in the Pedda Sesha Vahanaseva.
In anticipation of the large influx of devotees, several arjita Sevas and special darshans have been canceled at the Tirumala Srivari Temple during the Brahmotsavam. To cater to the massive crowd, TTD has prepared a buffer stock of approximately seven lakh laddus. Additionally, strong security arrangements, in coordination with district police, will be in place, with extra force deployed for the Garuda Vahana Seva. Ghat roads will remain open 24 hours on the day of the Garuda Seva, with constant monitoring from a central command center.
Preparations have already begun at both Tirumala and Tirupati, with the engineering department focusing on electric decorations and the installation of large digital LED screens around the Mada streets. Due to the festival, no cottage donor allotments will be made from October 4 to 12. Devotees who are unable to secure accommodation in Tirumala are advised to find rooms in Tirupati.
To meet the needs of the devotees, TTD has deployed additional barbers at all kalyana kattas for uninterrupted service and increased staff to maintain cleanliness. Annaprasadam, milk, and breakfast will be distributed at the Matrusree Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam complex, Vaikuntam compartments, and outside queue lines.
TTD has also established multiple first aid centers, mobile clinics, and ambulances, along with medical centers and dispensaries at Ashwani Hospital and the Vaikuntham Q Complex in Tirumala to handle any emergencies. Around 4,000 Srivari sevaks have been deployed to assist devotees in all sections of Tirumala.
The SVBC channel is set to provide live broadcasts of the Vahana Sevas, as well as cultural and traditional programs from the Srivari temple. In addition, a special photo exhibition, fruit and flower show, Ayurveda and sculpture exhibition will be organized at the Kalyana Vedika to showcase TTD’s development activities.
Special cultural groups from various states have been invited to perform in front of the Vahana Sevas and at auditoriums in Tirupati and Tirumala under the leadership of HDPP projects.
