New Delhi: The tricolour fluttered from motorcycles, PCR vans and scooters as Delhi Police personnel took to streets on Friday, turning the stretch from Vijay Chowk to India Gate into a colourful display of patriotism with a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally.
Police officers from the Central district led the grand rally a day before Independence Day, with uniformed personnel riding motorcycles and women police officials joining the procession on scooters, national flags held high as the convoy made its way through the capital.
Visuals showed that PCR vans, their occupants carrying the tricolour, moved alongside the motorcycles, creating a long, flag-lined procession through Kartavya Path and towards India Gate. People gathered along the roadsides waved flags and cheered the passing police personnel, with chants of “Vande Mataram”, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Ahead of India’s 80th Independence Day, the New Delhi Zone of the Delhi Police organized this rally on Friday night. The event featured national flags fluttering from motorcycles, scooters, and PCR vans moving along the prominent stretch from Vijay Chowk to India Gate via Kartavya Path.
The patriotic parade was conducted as part of the nationwide’Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to spread awareness, build civic pride, and encourage public participation in Independence Day celebrations.
