New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have commended the courage, professionalism and dedication of Indian Air Force personnel on the occasion of the 94th Air Force Day.
In a message posted on X, President Murmu extended her greetings to air warriors, veterans, and their families, noting the exemplary service the Indian Air Force has provided to the nation while maintaining high standards of discipline and preparedness.
She highlighted the role of the IAF in Operation Sindoor, stating, “Operation Sindoor demonstrated the courage, precision and operational preparedness of our air warriors in safeguarding the nation’s security.” She also acknowledged the force’s support during disasters and humanitarian crises.
“Their dedication remains a source of inspiration and pride for the nation. May the Indian Air Force continue to uphold its proud legacy of service and excellence,” the President added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a video of the Indian Air Force on X and paid tribute to its personnel, saying, “India is proud of our Air Warriors. On Air Force Day, we salute their courage and commitment to protect our skies!”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his greetings and honoured the martyrs who have given their lives in service to the nation. He referred to IAF personnel as “real-life bravehearts” and praised their “invincible valour, laser-sharp precision and devastating striking capabilities,” which have earned recognition from both Earth and space.
“Their patriotism and professionalism will continue to inspire generations long after the daydreams of India’s enemies cease to exist,” Shah said. He concluded by paying his respects: “I bow to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.”
Indian Air Force Day, observed annually on October 8, commemorates the establishment of the Indian Air Force in 1932 and honours the service and bravery of its personnel in protecting the country.
