Jaipur: Rajasthan’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has apologised to students over the alleged NEET paper leak and subsequent cancellation of the examination.

Speaking to reporters after a programme in Jhunjhunu, the minister said, “I apologise on behalf of the Government of India, the Rajasthan government and also at a personal level for the hardship caused to hardworking students.”

He said several accused involved in the alleged theft and circulation of the NEET paper had already been arrested and the investigation had been handed over to the CBI.

The minister disclosed that multiple arrests have already been made regarding the illegal distribution of the exam papers. He affirmed that the investigation has now been placed under the scrutiny of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to ensure a thorough and unbiased probe.

Kharra reassured the public that the NEET exam would be rescheduled soon, with enhanced security measures to prevent any future malpractices. He emphasized the commitment to identifying and prosecuting those found guilty to uphold the integrity of the educational process.
