New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday termed the Bihar boat tragedy “deeply painful,” and announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to those injured.
Several people were feared drowned after a boat capsized in the Ganga River in Vaishali district on Tuesday evening.
There was no confirmation of the number of the deceased.
