New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday outlined a collaborative blueprint for making India into a developed country by 2047, emphasising that economic development needs to be inclusive.
Addressing an event of the Maheshwari community here, Birla emphasised that entrepreneurship and nation-building must progress hand in hand to ensure that economic growth is both inclusive and sustainable.
According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, the speaker asserted that development is meaningful only when its benefits reach the last person in society and every citizen becomes an active participant in progress.
He said the national resolve for an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) is infusing new energy into small, medium, and innovation-driven industries, which are vital for equitable growth.
The speaker observed that educated, skilled, and tech-empowered youth constitute the greatest strength of a developed India. He reminded the gathering that the ambitious goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ can be achieved only through active public participation, cutting-edge innovation, and a shared collective resolve.
