Hyderabad: In a development that reflects a noticeable shift in the functioning of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), the newly constituted administration has acted promptly on a complaint highlighted in an Orangenews9 report regarding the proposed appointment of certain coaches for the TG20 franchise teams.

The HCA, now functioning under the leadership of Secretary Jeevan Reddy and under the oversight of former High Court judge Justice Naveen Rao, responded swiftly to a complaint alleging that some coaches facing allegations of misconduct in the past were being considered for coaching roles in the upcoming TG20 league.

According to documents available with Orangenews9, the complainant received an official communication from the HCA stating that the matter was under active consideration. The association informed him that the complaint had been forwarded to the concerned officials for examination and assured that any further action taken in the matter would be communicated in due course.

The prompt response has drawn attention as the HCA has often faced criticism in the past for its alleged reluctance to act on complaints and media reports concerning cricket administration. Over the years, concerns raised by parents, players, and stakeholders regarding selectors, private cricket academies, and other administrative issues frequently went unanswered.

Against that backdrop, the speed with which the present administration acknowledged and initiated action on the complaint has been viewed by many stakeholders as a positive sign. The development is being seen as an indication of the new administration’s willingness to engage with grievances and address issues relating to transparency and accountability.

Cricket circles believe that continued vigilance over appointments, selection processes, and administrative functioning will be critical to restoring confidence in the association. Many stakeholders have expressed hope that the current leadership will continue efforts to improve governance standards and strengthen the credibility of the HCA.

The latest response has generated optimism among sections of the cricket fraternity that long-standing concerns regarding transparency and accountability within the association may finally receive the attention they deserve.
