Shah reviews preparations for Commonwealth Games

Ahmedabad:  Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday held a meeting to review preparations for the Commonwealth Games and proposed the Olympics to be hosted in Ahmedabad.

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and senior officials were present at the meeting.

Attending the review were Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and senior officials. Shah highlighted the Modi administration’s commitment to developing state-of-the-art sports facilities in India, underscoring the strategic significance of proposed world-class competitions.

Shah shared on X that these comprehensive assessments were crucial for advancing sports infrastructure projects in Ahmedabad. With its bid positioned for the 2036 Olympics, the city is also confirmed to host the upcoming Commonwealth Games in 2030.
