Restrain your brother; Subash cautions CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: State BJP Spokesperson N.V. Subash on Friday has strongly criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for failing to restrain his brother, Anumala Tirupati Reddy, who is allegedly functioning as an extra-constitutional authority.
In a scathing statement, Subash pointed out that Tirupati Reddy, despite holding no official position—not as an MP, MLA, MPTC member, sarpanch, or corporator—enjoys privileges that include a police convoy and schoolchildren performing parades in his honour. He also accused the Vikarabad District Collector of acting as Tirupati Reddy’s bodyguard.

“How can such blatant misuse of power go unchecked? Is this not reminiscent of the arrogance displayed by the KCR family, which ultimately faced the wrath of the people?” Subash questioned. He demanded immediate action from the Chief Minister to rein in his brother.

Drawing parallels with past political scenarios, Subash likened this situation to the tenure of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, whom he accused of being subservient to Sonia Gandhi. “Just as Dr. Singh allowed Sonia Gandhi to function as a ‘Super PM,’ Revanth Reddy seems to be following the Congress culture by letting his brother operate as a parallel Chief Minister without holding any constitutional authority,” he alleged.

Subash further warned that the people of Telangana are closely observing these developments. “If the Chief Minister fails to control his brother’s overreach, he too will face the same fate as the KCR family,” he cautioned.
