Hyderabad: The Hakku Initiative, known for championing social justice and advocating solutions in collaboration with government authorities, officially launched its poster, logo, and a dedicated missed call number at the Hyderabad Press Club today.
Renowned filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaj and actor Shiva Balaji were the event’s key speakers. Bharadwaj emphasized the need to challenge societal injustices, noting, “In the past, citizens had the freedom to elect leaders independently. Now, money influences every aspect of democracy.”
Shiva Balaji shared his motivation for supporting the cause. “Change begins with us,” he said. “I’ve witnessed reckless driving and traffic violations firsthand. Moving forward, I will report such incidents, treating it as my duty and right.”
Vivek, a representative of Hakku, highlighted the challenges faced by law-abiding citizens and criticized the burden placed on the middle class to fund government expenses. He affirmed the initiative’s commitment to tackling pressing social, economic, and political issues, stating, “Hakku will ensure no one in Hyderabad feels intimidated or oppressed.”
The event also featured speeches from human rights advocate Varghese and personality development expert Ramyasree, along with other Hakku representatives, including Sudheer, Rahul, and Benjamin. Journalists from various media outlets were also in attendance, emphasizing the growing support for this grassroots movement.
The newly launched missed call number aims to empower citizens to report violations and injustices, fostering a more accountable society.
