Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) will unveil the logo of its flagship T20 tournament, the TG20 League, at a grand event in the city on April 29, marking a major push to strengthen the domestic cricket structure in the state.

In an official statement, TG20 League Chairman V. Agam Rao said the league is envisioned as a bridge between grassroots and professional cricket, aimed at providing a transparent and competitive platform for emerging players. He added that the initiative aligns with the vision of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to create clear pathways for district-level talent to progress to elite competitions such as the Indian Premier League.

He further noted that the response from franchise owners has been encouraging, with several corporates showing keen interest. The inaugural season is scheduled for June–July 2026, with fixtures and team announcements expected shortly.

The tournament will feature eight franchise teams and 32 matches, to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, following a round-robin and playoff format.

Officials added that TG20 is designed to enhance player exposure, accelerate development, and raise the overall standard of cricket in the state, while also offering a vibrant, festival-like experience for fans.
