YouTuber from AP held for circulation of child sexual abuse content

Hyderabad:

A 39-year-old YouTuber from Andhra Pradesh was arrested for allegedly creating, uploading, and circulating child sexual abuse content through social media platforms, the police said on Wednesday.

The accused has been active as a YouTuber since 2018 and operated a YouTube channel “ViralHub007”, wherein “objectionable and child-abusive” content was uploaded and circulated, a release from police said.

The content included interviews of minors (below 18 years of age), it said.

The channel allegedly hosted objectionable videos involving minors, in violation of child protection and cyber laws.

According to police, the videos featured interviews with minors aged between 15 and 17 years. During these interactions, the accused allegedly posed obscene, sexually explicit and vulgar questions.

In one instance, he is said to have induced two minor children to kiss each other on camera, amounting to sexual exploitation. Authorities stated that the content contained explicit language and indecent behaviour, grossly violating legal safeguards meant to protect children.

On October 16, 2025, Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad, registered a suo motu case after the videos surfaced online. Technical analysis confirmed the content’s illegality. Based on digital evidence, investigators identified, traced and arrested the accused.

Police said the accused had been active on social media since 2018, operating the YouTube channel ViralHub007 and an Instagram account Viralhub_007. Initially, he conducted interviews with social media influencers using vulgar language to attract viewers and generate revenue.

Over time, he allegedly escalated his activities by targeting minors, using sexually explicit language during interviews, and uploading the content to boost views and monetization.
