State BJP Condemns CM Revanth Reddy’s Irresponsible Remarks on ‘Carpet Bombing’ and Operation Sindoor

Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP strongly condemned Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for his irresponsible and ill-informed comments regarding the term “carpet bombing” and his repeated attempts to undermine India’s armed forces while campaigning for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.

State BJP Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge N.V. Subash denounced the Chief Minister’s “ignorance of basic terminology” and clarified that the BJP’s “carpet bombing” refers to an intensive, issue-based and door-to-door outreach campaign aimed at educating voters on why they should support a credible and development-driven party like the BJP over the divisive and failed Congress.

Subash took strong objection to Revanth Reddy’s recent remarks attempting to ridicule Operation Sindoor, a decisive, four-day Indian military operation that successfully destroyed Pakistani terror bases and strategic air assets. The BJP leader reminded the media that the very same Chief Minister had earlier praised the Indian forces after the operation and questioned why he had now stooped to mocking their bravery.

“Shockingly, the Chief Minister of a state is resorting to reckless rhetoric that belittles our armed forces — the true guardians of our sovereignty and borders,” Subash said. He alleged that Revanth Reddy’s frustration is evident as his desperate tactics to woo minority voters — such as misleading claims over allotment of Army land for a graveyard and the induction of tainted former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin — have failed to generate public trust.

Observing that the Jubilee Hills electorate is one of the most educated and politically aware segments in the state, Subash expressed confidence that they will not fall prey to the Chief Minister’s “gimmicks and hollow promises.” He said the BJP’s grassroots karyakartas are working tirelessly to reach every home and highlight the Congress government’s failures, rising corruption and divisive politics.

The BJP urged the Chief Minister to uphold the dignity of his office and refrain from cheap political attacks targeting India’s armed forces. “Instead of mocking those who risk their lives for the nation, the Chief Minister should focus on governing responsibly,” Subash asserted.
