New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday welcomed US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the Gaza conflict, saying that it provides a viable path to long-term peace, security, and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, as well as the larger West Asian region.
In an X post after Trump announced the plan in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Modi expressed hope that “all concerned will come together behind President Trump’s initiative and support this effort to end conflict and secure peace.”

The Palestinian government welcomed Trump’s plan to end the Israel-Haamas war, and they vowed to make reforms demanded by the U.S.
The Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Egypt welcomed on Monday (September 29, 2025) U.S. President Trump’s announcement to end the war in Gaza, according to a joint statement.
The Ministers, along with other Arab and Islamic Foreign Ministers, said they were ready to cooperate positively with the U.S. and the relevant parties to finalise the agreement and ensure its implementation.
France’s President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday (September 29, 2025) that he welcomed Mr. Trump’s commitment to ending the war in Gaza and securing the release of all hostages.
“I expect Israel to engage resolutely on this basis. Hamas has no choice but to immediately release all hostages and follow this plan,” Macron said in a statement on X.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday (September 29, 2025) welcomed the efforts to end the war in Gaza with a new plan.
“We call on all sides to come together and to work with the U.S. Administration to finalise this agreement and bring it into reality. Hamas should now agree to the plan and end the misery, by laying down their arms and releasing all remaining hostages.” Starmer said.
