Sri Jodi Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located in Agraharam Village, under Vemulawada Urban Mandal, in Rajanna Sircilla District of Telangana. The shrine attracts devotees from various parts of Telangana and neighboring states who come seeking the blessings of Lord Hanuman.
The exact age of the temple is not known. However, the present temple is believed to have been established around 1957 following a divine vision associated with the discovery of the twin Hanuman idols. Since then, the temple has grown into an important center of Hanuman worship in the region.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman in two distinct forms, namely Sri Veera Anjaneya Swamy and Sri Bhakta Anjaneya Swamy. Veera Anjaneya represents strength, courage, valor, and protection, while Bhakta Anjaneya symbolizes devotion, humility, and complete surrender to Lord Rama. The presence of these two sacred forms in the same temple is the unique feature of the shrine, giving it the name Jodi Anjaneya Swamy Temple, where “Jodi” means a pair or twin.
The temple is built in a traditional South Indian style and features a prominent Rajagopuram at its entrance. One of the major attractions of the temple is the towering statue of Lord Hanuman standing majestically in front of the Rajagopuram. The sanctum houses the twin idols of Veera Anjaneya Swamy and Bhakta Anjaneya Swamy. The temple complex also contains shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Saraswati, along with a Navagraha Mandapa. The spacious premises and serene surroundings create a spiritually uplifting atmosphere for devotees.

According to temple tradition, the origin of the shrine is associated with a miraculous divine intervention experienced by a businessman named Sri Gowrishetty Rajesham. Around 1957, while traveling through the region for business purposes, his vehicle suddenly broke down near the present temple site at Agraharam. As it was late at night and there was no possibility of continuing his journey, he was forced to stay there until morning.
During the night, Lord Hanuman appeared before him in a vivid dream and revealed that two sacred Hanuman idols were hidden nearby. The Lord instructed him to locate the idols and establish a temple so that devotees could worship him and receive his blessings. When Rajesham awoke the next morning, he searched the area indicated in the dream and discovered the two idols exactly as described by the Lord.
Filled with devotion and convinced that the experience was a divine command, he arranged for the idols to be installed and began regular worship at the site. The two idols were identified as Veera Anjaneya Swamy and Bhakta Anjaneya Swamy, representing the combined qualities of strength and devotion that characterize Lord Hanuman. As news of the miraculous discovery spread, devotees from nearby villages began visiting the shrine and offering prayers.
Over the years, numerous devotees reported that their prayers were answered and their difficulties were removed through the blessings of Jodi Anjaneya Swamy. The temple gradually gained prominence and developed into a revered pilgrimage center. Even today, devotees believe that worshipping the twin forms of Hanuman grants courage, protection, success, and spiritual strength.
Hanuman Jayanti is the most important festival celebrated at the temple and attracts large numbers of devotees. Special abhishekams, alankarams, homams, bhajans, and devotional programs are conducted on the occasion. Apart from Hanuman Jayanti, Tuesdays and Saturdays are considered especially sacred for Lord Hanuman and witness a steady flow of devotees throughout the year.
