Grand Arrangements for Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta: TTD Chairman

Vontimitta (Tirupati): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is all set to conduct the grand Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at the historic Vontimitta temple tomorrow, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu confirmed that elaborate arrangements have been made in coordination with the district administration to ensure a smooth and divine experience for devotees.

Addressing a press conference at the Vontimitta temple premises, Naidu, alongside TTD EO J. Syamala Rao, District Collector Sridhar, and senior officials from TTD, police, and district departments, detailed the preparations for the celestial wedding, which is being celebrated as a state festival.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will present the traditional “Sare” to the deities on behalf of the state government at 6 PM.

The event is expected to draw massive crowds, and seating arrangements have been made for 60,000 devotees across 147 galleries at the Kalyana Vedika. In a first, 28 dedicated counters will distribute talambralu (sacred rice) to attendees, who will also receive Srivari laddu prasadam, bangles, and annaprasadam.

To support the large gathering, 400 TTD security staff and 2,500 police personnel will be deployed. Surveillance will be maintained through 130 CCTV cameras, 7 drones, and a dedicated command control center. Fire and disaster response teams will also be stationed on-site.

Logistics include 645 RTC bus trips from Kadapa and Rajampet and 20 free TTD shuttle buses from traffic diversion points. German sheds, waiting areas, and 250 mobile toilets have been set up for the convenience of pilgrims. Over 3,000 sanitation workers and 500 deputation staff, along with 2,500 Srivari Sevaks, will manage the arrangements.

Medical aid includes 13 camps staffed by 250 paramedics, 35 doctors, 8 ambulances, and fire services. Around 3 lakh water bottles and buttermilk packets will be distributed, with snacks like lemon rice and pongal provided in the evening.

Special floral decorations using 12 tons of traditional flowers will adorn the temple and surroundings. The entire event will be broadcast live in HD, enabling global devotees to witness the divine wedding.
