Abu Dhabi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday met Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and discussed ways to enhance and develop bilateral ties.
Jaishankar, who arrived in the UAE on Monday on a three-day visit, recalled the crown prince’s visit to India during the meeting.
“Pleased to meet Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Recalled his recent visit to India and discussed further advancement of partnership,” Jaishankar said in a post on X.
The two leaders explored ways to enhance cooperation between their countries, aiming to benefit both nations and their citizens. They also discussed the strategic partnership that supports sustainable development across key sectors in both countries, according to the state-run WAM news agency.
Jaishankar also had a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During this meeting, he conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s greetings and discussed the ongoing progress in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE. “Honoured to call on HH @MohamedBinZayed. Conveyed warm greetings of PM @narendramodi,” Jaishankar shared in a post on X.
Earlier in the day, Jaishankar met with Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President. They talked about the special partnership between India and the UAE and its future development. This visit is seen as an opportunity to advance this partnership further and inject new energy into India-UAE relations.
Jaishankar delivered the keynote address at the inaugural session of Raisina Middle East. This event provided a platform for discussing regional issues and enhancing collaboration between participating countries. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that this visit aims to boost the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE.
The discussions with UAE leaders underscore India’s commitment to strengthening ties with key partners in the region. By focusing on mutual interests and sustainable development, both nations aim to foster a more robust relationship that benefits their people.
