Guru Vinayji, Founder of the Wisdom Foundation, Hyderabad, concluded a highly successful lecture tour across Malaysia, delivering a series of talks on the Essence of the Bhagavad Gita between November 14 and 23, 2025. The programme was jointly organised by the High Commission of India in Malaysia, the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, and the Wisdom World Centre, Malaysia.
The lectures—held as part of the International Gita Mahotsav in Penang, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor Bahru—drew participants from diverse cultural backgrounds. Vinayji’s interactive style, clear exposition, and ability to translate profound philosophical concepts into practical life lessons earned wide appreciation, particularly from foreign attendees.
The International Gita Mahotsav, traditionally celebrated in Kurukshetra under the aegis of the Haryana government, marks the birth of the Bhagavad Gita. This year’s edition is significant as it reflects a renewed initiative by the Government of India to take the festival to global audiences, expanding its reach and cultural impact.

Central to Guru Vinayji’s message was the idea that the Bhagavad Gita is a manual to life. He emphasised the timeless relevance of the scripture in addressing modern-day challenges, a theme that resonated strongly throughout his sessions. Many attendees described the lectures as transformative and deeply insightful.
Among the appreciative voices was H.E. Shri B. N. Reddy, India’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, who expressed admiration for the lectures and conveyed plans to organise larger and more impactful events in March–April 2026.

The tour also left a profound impression on individual participants. A Japanese attendee, Mukti Mika, shared a heartfelt note after attending two days of lectures in Kuala Lumpur:
“When I listen to Sanskrit, it feels as if my soul is being awakened. This experience made me want to improve my language skills so I can learn the Gita more deeply. I will continue learning the Bhagavad Gita together with your book, ‘Wisdom Conversations’. Thank you for this precious and wonderful learning.”
Guru Vinayji’s Malaysia tour marks yet another step in carrying India’s ancient wisdom to the world, reinforcing the universal appeal and timeless relevance of the Bhagavad Gita.
