Revanth govt focuses on strengthening of public health sector

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government is prioritizing the enhancement of the public health sector by addressing the vacancies in the state’s Medical and Health department, as well as in government hospitals.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has placed a strong emphasis on improving healthcare services for the population.

Given the prevalence of Dengue and other viral fevers during the monsoon season, the state government is taking proactive steps to fill positions in the medical and health sector.

A notification will soon be released to fill vacancies for Civil Assistant Surgeons, Lab Technicians, and Staff Nurses. There is an acute shortage of Civil Assistant Surgeons in Primary Health Centers (PHCs), prompting the government to act.

To address this, the government has decided to recruit 531 Civil Assistant Surgeons. The Telangana State Medical Health Services Recruitment Board (TSMHSRB) will issue the necessary notifications shortly. Following this recruitment, the board will also address the need for Surgeons in PHCs based on demand.

Additionally, there are vacancies for Lab Technicians in Diagnostic Test Centers. The Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad will issue notifications to fill 193 Lab Technician positions.

The recruitment of 31 Staff Nurses to provide patient care in various hospitals will also be undertaken by the TSMHSRB, with notifications to be issued soon.
