Dubai: Team India comprehensively beat Bangladesh by six wickets in the second match of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
The Men in Blue comfortably accomplished the 229-run target in Dubai thanks to a brilliant hundred from Shubam Gill.
Earlier in the game, Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 228/10 thanks to a record-breaking partnership between centurion Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali.
Mohammed Shami claimed a fifer.
Winning the toss and Opting to bat first, Bangladesh started very slowly, as the team was half down at 35, but then Towhid Hridoy scored a magnificent century and posted a respectable total for India.
Indian batters came in strong, with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill making up an explosive partnership. However, after the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the match slowed down. Shubman Gill then stepped up to take the commanding wheel, and with a beautiful century, guided the team to victory.
