His father’s name is Rajaram, and his mother’s name is Kesar Devi. He got married to his wife, Angoori Devi, at a very young age. He has two sons, Surendra Gangwa and Sanjeev Gangwa. In a political journey of 34 years, he has made a historic journey to the post of cabinet minister.Gangwa started his political career from his village, Gangwa, where he won the Panch election. He also holds the record of making the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘lotus bloom’ for the first time in the Barwala assembly constituency of Hisar district.
Ranbir Gangwa contested the panchayat election in his village in 1990 at the age of 26, from where he started his political innings. He was re-elected in 2005 and became its vice president. Four years later, former chief minister Om Prakash Chautala fielded him from the Nalwa assembly constituency on an Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) ticket. However, Congress candidate and former minister Sampat Singh won the election. Later, Gangwa was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2010 on an INLD ticket. In 2014, the party again fielded him from the Nalwa assembly seat, and he defeated Sampat Singh and former deputy chief minister Chandramohan.
After the INLD split in 2018, Gangwa joined the BJP ahead of the 2019 elections. He was elected from Nalwa and later became the deputy speaker in the assembly. This time he was again elected to the assembly.
