New Delhi: The makers of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan-starrer “Haiwaan” have completed shooting of the film.
Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan, known for hit comedies such as “Hera Pheri”, “Hulchul”, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, and “Hungama, the film also features Saiyami Kher.
The makers shared the announcement on the Instagram handle on Sunday. The post comprised a series of pictures featuring the actors, and the filmmaker cut the cake.
According to a report in Mid-Day, the team filmed an intense cat-and-mouse chase sequence featuring 30–40 cars and around 100 junior artistes. The massive action scene was choreographed by renowned stunt director Stunt Silva and took five consecutive nights to complete. The area around Churchgate was transformed into a high-octane action zone, capturing the energy of Mumbai’s streets like never before.
Director Priyadarshan shared insights into the demanding shoot, praising both leads for their dedication. “Both Saif and Akshay knew exactly how the sequence needed to be shot, and they cooperated beautifully,” he said, adding with a smile, “Akshay is known to sleep early, yet he shot for five nights straight!”
