Hyderabad: The much-anticipated Telangana T20 League is set to get underway, aiming to showcase top local talent while providing a competitive platform for emerging and professional cricketers from across the state. The Telangana T20 League will be overseen by a Governing Council comprising experienced administrators and representatives from various stakeholders. The members include Basvaraju (Joint Secretary), Sunil Agarwal (Councillor), Parth Satwalekar (Indian Players Association), Rajashekhar Dastagar (Councillor representing the C&AG), C. Sanjeev Reddy and V. Agam Rao (members selected from the AGM list), and Imtiaz Khan, CEO of the Hyderabad Cricket Association.
Speaking on the occasion, Acting President Sardar Daljeet Singh said the league marked an important step in strengthening the state’s cricketing ecosystem. “The Telangana T20 League is a significant initiative to nurture local talent and provide players with exposure at a competitive level. Our focus is on creating opportunities and inspiring the next generation of cricketers from Telangana,” he said.
Beyond on-field action, the tournament will also emphasise fan engagement through community initiatives, digital outreach and live coverage across multiple platforms. Organisers believe this approach will help connect players and fans while broadening the league’s reach.
With backing from sponsors, partners and cricket enthusiasts, the Telangana T20 League is expected to become a prominent fixture on the state’s sporting calendar, underlining Telangana’s growing presence in Indian cricket.
