The recent foiling of a terror plot targeting the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is a chilling reminder of Pakistan’s relentless proxy war against India. The arrest of Abdul Rahman, an alleged ISI-linked operative, and the recovery of hand grenades from an abandoned house in Faridabad leave little doubt about the sinister designs of our hostile neighbour. Yet, as always, Pakistan’s government and its apologists within India will attempt to downplay the incident, spinning a false narrative of innocence and victimhood. India must see through this smokescreen and act decisively. For far too long, India has been at the receiving end of Pakistan-sponsored terror. From the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament to the 26/11 Mumbai massacre and the Pulwama bombing, the ISI’s fingerprints are evident in every major terror strike. Now, emboldened by India’s restraint, they dared to target one of the country’s most sacred sites—Ram Mandir, the very symbol of India’s civilizational and religious resurgence. This cannot be tolerated.
Pakistan, a global hub of terrorism, has repeatedly violated India’s sovereignty through covert terror operations. Each time, India condemns, investigates, and strengthens internal security—but stops short of direct retribution. This cycle must end. If intelligence agencies uncover ISI’s involvement in this latest plot, India must respond with force. A direct strike on ISI headquarters, or even the Pakistani Army headquarters, would send an unequivocal message: Enough is enough. Surgical strikes and Balakot air raids inflicted damage, but they did not dismantle Pakistan’s terror machinery. The time has come to take a bolder approach. India possesses the military capability to execute precision strikes deep inside enemy territory, crippling ISI’s operational command. The cost of sponsoring terror must be made unbearable for Pakistan’s establishment. Only then will they reconsider their strategy of harbouring and exporting jihadist elements. Predictably, some political factions and media voices in India will question the legitimacy of the case, portraying the suspect as an ‘innocent’ member of a minority community. This appeasement-driven narrative serves Pakistan’s interests and weakens India’s security apparatus. The truth remains: ISI-backed terror networks operate within our borders, exploiting our democratic freedoms to plot destruction. National security cannot be sacrificed at the altar of political correctness. The Ram Temple’s inauguration marked a defining moment in India’s history, embodying the aspirations of millions. Any attack on it is an attack on the soul of the nation. India must ensure that ISI’s latest conspiracy is their last. A swift, forceful retaliation will not only deter future attacks but also reaffirm India’s resolve to protect its people and its sacred institutions. The time for warnings and condemnations is over. It is time to strike.
