Sri Sitarama Anjaneya Devasthana- Near Shiggaon, Hubballi

Nestled in the peaceful countryside near *Shiggaon Road, close to Hubballi in Karnataka, lies a sacred space born not of architecture but of pure devotion and divine will — the **Sri Sitarama Anjaneya Devasthana. Here, the Lord did not arrive through ritual alone, but **rose from the very soil*, answering the silent prayers of generations.

The spiritual journey of this temple begins with the Desai family of Old Hubballi, belonging to the revered Belagali Desai lineage. Shri Malharao Desai, a devout follower of Shri Shri Krishnendra Guru of the Old Hubballi Fort, instilled in his lineage not only reverence for the divine but also a deep connection with the land.

His son, Sri Prakash Malharao Desai, carried this torch forward. Nearly two decades ago, he transformed a quiet patch of land near Shiggaon into a lush orchard — a space filled with mango, banana, and coconut trees, nurtured by cows and bullocks, and above all, by prayers to Lord Anjaneya of Yalagur.

One day, destiny unfolded when a young laborer digging the field struck something beneath — a stone, echoing a mysterious “khan” as his tool met it. A strange energy coursed through him, and the stone was unearthed. Though initially used casually — even as a post to tie cattle — it quietly waited at the field’s edge… until the time was right.

Years passed. One day, a little girl working on the farm asked innocently, “What happened to that stone?” Her question stirred something within Desai. He found the stone again, this time during a community lunch with elderly women from Old Hubballi. As they gathered around, the stone seemed to glow with meaning— faint outlines of *Lord Anjaneya* emerged on its surface.

It was clear: *this was no ordinary stone, but a Swayambhu — a self-manifested presence of Hanuman himself.*

Awed by the divine revelation, the Desai family moved with purpose. With blessings from elders and guidance from the divine, they built a shrine with love, faith, and devotion. The project was led by Sri Prakash Malharao Desai and his son, CA Manoj Prakash Desai, whose professional precision met the soul’s calling.

On March 31, 2018, the temple was consecrated in a grand ceremony marked by Thomas, Havanas, and the sacred vibrations of Vedic chants. Once forgotten in the earth, the idol is now enshrined, radiating divine energy.

This Devasthana isn’t just a spiritual landmark — it is a living center of service. The Desai family initiated *annadana (free meals), ensuring no devotee leaves hungry. They also began distributing **school bags to children*, spreading the light of education along with devotion.

The temple stands as a beautiful reminder: *where worship meets service, divinity resides.*

Whether you’re a pilgrim, a seeker, or simply someone searching for solace, *Sri Sitarama Anjaneya Devasthana* opens its arms to all. Surrounded by nature and nurtured by generations of bhakti, this temple is a beacon of blessings, where miracles begin with faith.
