Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday allocated portfolios to his ministerial colleagues. He retained the portfolios of General Administration Department , Law and Order, and Public Enterprises.
Jana Sena Party president and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has been allocated the Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply, Environment, Forest, Science, and Technology Department while TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh has been given the crucial Human Resources Development, IT Electronics and Communications, and Real-Time Governance portfolios.
Senior leader K Atchannaidu was given the Agriculture and related subjects, while the youngest minister in Naidu’s cabinet. Vanglapudi Anitha was made the home minister. In the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy government also, women held the Home portfolio.
The all-important Finance Portfolio was given to senior leader Payyavula Keshav while BJP’s Y Satya Kumar was given the Health, Family Welfare, and Medical Education portfolio.
First time MLA TG Bharat was allocated the Industries and Commerce Ministry while senior leader Anam Ramnarayana Reddy was made incharge of the Endowments Ministry.
With Atchannaidu inducted into the Cabinet, BC leader Palla Srinivasa Rao is likely to be appointed as the party’s AP unit president.
