Hyderabad, April 12: Newly elected Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Secretary Jeevan Reddy on Sunday exuded confidence that the Association is heading towards a revival, assuring stakeholders that “good days will be back soon.”

Soon after taking charge, Reddy held a meeting with affiliated club secretaries, seeking their cooperation to usher in transparency, accountability, and improved governance. He reiterated an open-door policy, inviting club representatives to directly approach him with grievances and promising swift redressal of legitimate concerns.

In a key administrative step, Reddy urged clubs to digitise players’ birth certificates and link them with Aadhaar to eliminate discrepancies and bring uniformity to player records.

He also announced that HCA has roped in Sportsmechanics to strengthen transparency and operational efficiency across affiliated units. The firm, which also works with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), is known for its expertise in sports technology, analytics, and consulting.

Addressing concerns over scheduling, Reddy agreed to reduce four-day league matches to three-day games following discussions with stakeholders.

Emphasising unity and trust-building, Reddy said his priority is to remove misunderstandings and restore confidence in Hyderabad cricket. He also assured that leagues and tournaments would be conducted strictly as per schedule.

Elected unopposed recently, Reddy has moved quickly to initiate reforms, signalling a proactive approach to addressing long-standing challenges within the HCA.

  1. Jeevan reddy sir please see also women’s selection committee. now all selectors influence by one big business man. he trap every Hca panel.
    we belive you sir

  2. Good to know the Hon. Secretary’s intent. Hope he’s allowed to do good work. Vested groups are already influencing him. Being new to HCA, he must judge right from wrong — Apex Council won’t guide him well. Let him use his discretion to take HCA forward; it’ll boost both his image and HCA’s.
