Celebrating Effort, Encouraging Excellence

Hyderabad: At a time when the Hyderabad Cricket Association continues to reel under allegations of corruption, nepotism, and mismanagement, two local cricketing entities have set an inspiring example by celebrating integrity and performance in the game.

The Mocherla Bhaskar Rao Foundation, led by Sai Ram, and Charminar Cricket Club, headed by Mahboob Ahmed, have joined hands to launch a sincere initiative to recognise and reward grassroots cricketing talent.

Under the banner “Celebrating Effort, Encouraging Excellence,” the Foundation and Club have introduced incentives for players, including:

  • Team Dress Kits
  • Man of the Match Award – ₹5,000 per match
  • Man of the Series Award – ₹50,000

The initiative was formally unveiled during a Diwali celebration, where outstanding performers were honoured for their recent on-field exploits:

  • Tanush Reddy (vs Vijay Hanuman): 86 runs, 2 catches, 1 wicket
  • Anshul Modi (vs Agarwal Seniors): 108*
  • Thanmai Krishna (vs Gouds XI): 11–53–5
  • Ujjwal Yadav (vs Hyderabad Union): 42* runs, 1 wicket, 1 catch
  • Varun Dhatrak (vs Karimnagar): 33* runs, 11–33–5
  • Thanmai Krishna (vs Manchester CC): 8–23–5

Describing it as “a small beginning but a big statement,” the organisers said the goal is to motivate young cricketers to play fair, perform fearlessly, and trust that genuine effort will always be recognised.
