Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Ethics Committee headed by Justice V Eshwaraiah, has officially exonerated Vidyuth Jaisimha, the Head Coach of the state’s senior women’s cricket team, from all allegations of misconduct. The inquiry, led by the HCA’s Ethics Officer & Ombudsman (Additional Charge), determined that the accusations were unfounded and directed his reinstatement with full benefits.
In February, Jaisimha was suspended following a whistleblower email alleging inappropriate behavior, including consuming alcohol on the team bus. The allegations reportedly originated from a player within the state women’s team, raising concerns over conduct during official duties.
A comprehensive investigation was conducted by a panel led by Ethics Officer Eashwaraiah. After thoroughly examining the evidence, the committee found no proof to substantiate the allegations. The report concluded that the claims were baseless, and Jaisimha was declared innocent.
Sources suggest the allegations may have stemmed from personal vendettas. According to insiders, an underperforming cricketer allegedly orchestrated the accusations due to personal grievances against Jaisimha, who is the son of the legendary cricketer ML Jaisimha, a former state Ranji player. The alleged conspirator was reportedly seeking to gain favour for a family member within the team setup.
The Ethics Committee’s verdict not only clears Jaisimha of all accusations but also highlights the absence of any credible evidence against him. The HCA has been directed to reinstate Jaisimha to his original role immediately, with all due benefits restored. This decision reaffirms the importance of fair investigations and upholds the integrity of the association’s ethical standards.
Meanwhile, HCA Secretary Devraj confirmed in a letter that Vidyut Jaisimha has been reinstated, citing official communication from the Ethics Committee.
