UP CM to distribute appointment letters to 1,494 youths selected for UP Police Telecom Department

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will distribute appointment letters to 1,494 selected youths in the UP Police Telecommunication Department at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Sunday, officials said.

As per a press statement, the recruits include 1,374 assistant operators and 120 workshop staff.

This comes following the recruitment of 60,244 constables earlier this year.

Their selection was conducted in a transparent and merit-based manner by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB).

These appointments come in the wake of the historic recruitment of 60,244 constables earlier this year. The recruitment aims to address the staffing needs of the police telecommunications department, equipping it with trained personnel to manage communication and technical operations within the police infrastructure more efficiently.

According to official figures, the Yogi government has provided over 8.5 lakh government jobs, 3.75 lakh contractual appointments, and helped facilitate employment for more than 2 crore youth in the private and MSME sectors under Mission Rozgar. The initiative reflects the government’s vision to create employment opportunities in every village and city.
