Warangal: The East Zone League final of the TCA Telangana Gold Cup 2025–26 produced a thrilling contest featuring two magnificent centuries, as TCA Hanumakonda defeated TCA Khammam by 21 runs at the Kakatiya University Grounds, Warangal, on Friday night.
Batting first, TCA Hanumakonda posted an imposing 230 for 3 in 20 overs, riding on a superb unbeaten century by Vishnudas Shashank Kashyap, who scored 100 not out, smashing 15 fours and 3 sixes. He received solid support from Syed Sonu (64) and Aditya Sai Kumar (40). For Khammam, Imran Shaik was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 39.
In reply, TCA Khammam fought valiantly but fell short at 209 for 8. The chase was highlighted by a sensational knock from M. Pavan, who struck a blistering 115, including 8 fours and 10 sixes, keeping the contest alive till the final overs. Varun Teja claimed 2 for 20 for Hanumakonda.
Despite Pavan’s heroics, Hanumakonda held their nerve to clinch the East Zone Championship.
