Hyderabad: The Central Zone League matches of the Telangana Gold Cup 2025–26 were held at TKR College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad, featuring competitive performances and standout individual displays.
In the first match, TCA Rangareddy District posted a strong 179 for 5 in 20 overs, driven by a brilliant 95 by Gopi Varma, which included nine fours and six sixes. Sai Vamshi Varma added a valuable 47. For Medchal Urban, R. Shiva claimed 3 for 32.
In reply, TCA Medchal Urban District chased down the target, scoring 183 for 5 in 18.5 overs, powered by V. Kalyan’s 75 and S. Praneeth Reddy’s 70. Medchal Urban won by five wickets, with V. Kalyan named Player of the Match.
In the second fixture, TCA Cyberabad District scored 177 for 5 in their 20 overs, with Narayanashetty Tejesh top-scoring with 75, well supported by Md Zakeer Hussain’s 30. B. Shiva Kumar returned figures of 3 for 24 for Vikarabad.
Chasing the target, TCA Vikarabad District were bundled out for 90 in 16.5 overs, as Cyberabad’s bowlers dominated. Cyberabad secured an emphatic 87-run victory, and Narayanashetty Tejesh was adjudged Player of the Match.
